St Mungo's Response to COVID-19
St Mungo's United Church will be moving their worship experiences to online from Sunday, 21st March until further notice. Following the lockdown announcement in South Africa to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and flatten the curve. We support the President's efforts and join the country in adhering to the imposed measures. We are therefore canceling church at all of our physical locations. It is unlikely that things will return to normal any time soon so we are working hard to enhance the digital experience to enable all church activities to continue albeit remotely.
During the lockdown and in the weeks following, we will conduct the following activities online:
Thursday Prayer Meetings: We are continuing to meet every Thursday to pray for each other, our church, our community and our country. Join us on Thursdays at 5pm for an hour of prayer. Click on the link here to join.
Life Groups: Our small communities of believers that get deeper into the Word through weekly study. Life Groups will continue via online meetings. The details for each life group will be made available soon.
Anyone can join our various communities as we continue to love and serve God in unusual times. We encourage the body of Christ to continue loving and serving the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 5 says "16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
